WORK EXPERIENCE

Cameron Advertising -Chief Creative Officer 

April 1994 – September 2024

Throughout my career at Cameron Advertising, I began as an Assistant Art Director; promoted to Art Director; promoted to Creative Director and most recently Chief Creative Officer. 

Responsibilities Included:  

  • Supervision of the day-to-day operations of the Creative Department consisting of up to 15 members.  Duties included: leading the overall creative vision and creative teams; creating and producing innovative and high-quality work; fostering interdepartmental collaboration to achieve desired goals; strategic planning and budgeting; collaboration with stakeholders; innovation and trend identification; talent acquisition and performance evaluation; pitches and presentations.
     

  • Managing Tier 1 (National) Tier 2 (Regional) and Tier 3 (Local) accounts ranging from small budgets to multi-million-dollar budgeted accounts.
     

  • Pitching and managing creative direction with execution of several large-scale campaigns to promote corporate growth – e.g.: VIP Auto Group facilitated growth from a 2-store automotive group into a multi-billion-dollar franchise of 9 stores.
     

  • Working in a fast-paced environment all while adhering to budget outlines and strict deadlines.
     

  • Collaboration with clients to develop design concepts to reflect their brand identity as well as adjusting strategies as necessary to remain competitive.
     

  • Researching of current trends/new technology for printing production techniques, computer software, design trends, etc.  Consumer research for B2B, automotive, B2C and medical – digital creative products for mobile, desktop and social, including website layouts, landing pages, static and responsive display and social campaigns to help facilitate the development and implementation of cutting-edge strategies and campaigns.
     

  • Developing and implementing brand identity strategies through detailed storyboards showcasing both sequence and timeline for television production, web video production, logo design and creation, tagline development etc. 
     

  • Developing innovative and successful digital/traditional branding strategies by conducting thorough research into customer brand and A/B testing with creative materials to help solidify campaign messaging. 
     

  • Collaborating with digital team and account executives to build long-term and short-term campaigns that deliver on KPI’s and campaign strategies.
     

  • Ensuring compliance with company policies related to copyright laws when using third party materials.
     

  • Creating and implementing style guidelines to ensure consistency throughout the agency. 
     

  • Attending photoshoots and printing sessions to ensure that products needed were obtained.
